The Shire of Port Oasis invites all lovers and fighters to the 12th
annual Tournament of the White Hart, February 22 -24, 2008, at the
Cabell County 4-H Camp (6040 Booten Creek Road, Barboursville, WV,
25504). The event will feature the traditional heavy weapons
tournament emphasizing love and chivalry. Other activities of the
day will include fencing, an Arts and Sciences competition, children's activities,
and more.
The event will open at 6 p.m. on Friday and close at 10 a.m. on
Sunday. Event fees are: Adult site fee $9.00,
Adult Onboard:(includes lunch on Saturday): $8.00,
Child site fee ( 5-11 ): $4.50,
Child Onboard: $4.00. (Please don't forget the $3.00 non-member surcharge, except for childern under 11.) cabins are 30-40 per nite, camping is free, lodge dorm bunks are 3.00 for the weekend. ALL: Take your best route to I-64.
FROM THE NORTH/EAST: Take Exit 18 (Merritt's Creek). Turn left off the exit, drive a short distance to Route 60 W. Turn right at stop light light onto Route 60 W. Continue on Route 60 W through Barboursville, going through two stop-lights. After a short distance, you will reach a hill with a stop-light at the bottom. (Keep to the right to avoid stopping.) At the top of the hill, turn left onto Alternate Route 10. Stay on Alternate Route 10 for several minutes, until you see the sign for 4-H Camp Road. Turn left onto 4-H Camp Road. Continue a short distance to the camp. The camp is on the left; there is parking in the lot. Please do not drive on the grass.
FROM THE SOUTH/WEST: Take Exit 15. Off the exit, turn right onto Route 60 E. Continue several minutes on Route 60 E to Alternate Route 10 (you will pass a shopping center with a K-Mart on the right just before the turn.) Turn right onto Alternate Route 10. Stay on Alternate Route 10 for several minutes, until you see the sign for 4-H Camp Road. Turn left onto 4-H Camp Road. Continue a short distance to the camp. The camp is on the left; there is parking in the lot. Please do not drive or park on the grass and the basketball court.
