So long the time alone, crossing seasons that are brash and unforgiving. This one grows teeth that nip at my heels, pushing me to step lively and seek refuge. I have worn my heart and robes to shreds, and the price of head pain climbs like cold air replacing its warmer brother.

After months and weeks of journey, I have survived highway men, ungodly cold days and nights and village thieves, in the dress of politicians and beastly fellows of the cloth.
It seems this part of the world is filled with leftover moors, abandoned by the wars and mixed in matrimony. They are bitter and without salvation from either man or god himself.
The king has disavowed his promise to feed the people, they have as much as confessed their needs/disappoi
I play ignorant and medicate the sick and lost with all that I have but it will never be enough.
God bless the king and his baby chicks that learn to offend his good ways. I cannot.

Sunday the 20th of May
Attended Grey Niche practice field and met with some very nice folks. Of special mention is Siser Kate who was very informative and very nice to chat with. Met Waffle (heehee), Dave (the blacksmith who speaks with good vocabulary) and Anna, the hospitaller, and the Baron of Grey Niche, Doogan. I don't know their SCA names as yet so I use their mundane ones.
Spoke of Arenal often, as they are my first true shire of SCA friends and family.
I am impressed with the uniformity of demeanor across so many leagues and time with all the SCA. Nothing is more relaxing than dependability of good manners and grace from each a chivelrous soul.

Well, Last night I attended my first meeting of the shire where I will most likely become involved in some way.It was a business meeting and most definitely not a gathering for a new member. hahahaha... I am just glad that I went without expectation and simply to observe.
I thought this:
I approached and introduced myself. But no one took me (as a newby) in hand to lead and introduce me to the others. I thought that that should have been an action/respons
When new business came to light, the meeting director did not acknowledge me or any other new members there. Of course I did notice that the director and many if not all the memebrs took a second look at me and i believe realized I was someone new in the group because they had never seen my face before. Not a welcome for the group or for me. It just seemed a bit odd that a new member is not welcomed in full concert or as a matter of protocol. Perhaps some definitions need be clarified for such instances of importance. All new members should always be made to feel welcome and important, and should be engaged in some way so that they feel a part of the house. I think anyway. Understanding all this I will continue to work my way into the house's confidence and all that..but had I been just off the street, I might not have returned for feeling like the perverbial fly on the cake.

You know, I have to say that this 'Thunderkeep' site is marvelous! It is easy to navigate and cross touches everyone and so much more. Well done to all who make this site come together so easily for the user, and the creators of the programming for it. Outstanding! Well done!

Dios mio!!! My first event, the first time playin! So many people, so much color and so much love all around the camp.
I had to measure the cohesivness of group and effort because I have been involved in other things and I must say, this "Crown List" gathering was a seamless affair. I am impressed and can only want to join and enjoy the camaraderie and desire that has filled my heart with joy and expectation. Thank you to all who embraced my presence and ignorant wonderings. I have never felt such a deep part of a group before. I was awed by it all. A+ to all, and mijo [Valgardr] who works so hard to keep it all glued together with the help of every individual soul in the mist. Tremendo!! Y'all can smile with great pride and accomplishment
