Bite Your Tongue

Original song by: Lord Sanzio Sansovino

All through the song, take a '50's theme.
C Am F G

Headed to the site for a day trip,
planning to arrive in garb,
so you get dressed up in your day wear,
and you hop into your car.
On the way there, you get hungry,
so you stop for a bite to eat.
And you always hear somebody say it,
before you even take your seat.

Why are they dressed so funny?
Why are they wearing those clothes?
And no matter how many times they ask,
no one around them knows.
So you decide that you will tell them,
and give them a piece of your mind.
(spoken: We're time travelers from 1066. We came, we saw, we're not impressed, and we're going back)
You bite your tongue and say: "We're the SCA"
and you keep all your anger inside.

Headed out to Mississippi,
heading for the great Gulf War.
So you fill your car to capacity,
then stuff in a little bit more.
In the trailer, you've got your pavilion,
and your weapons are in plain view,
and then the police pull you over,
and this is what they say to you.

Why do you have all the weapons?
Where are you headed with those?
Good God do you have enough beer here?
and what's with the funny clothes.
So you decide that you will tell them,
and give them a piece of your mind.
(spoken: We're ammassing an army to overthrow the government of the United States of America because Brain said it would be a good idea - NARF!)
You bite your tongue and say: "We're the SCA"
and you keep all your anger inside.

and now, the Sir Lex verse.

Headed up past Birmingham,
your trailer blows a tire,
and you pull over before the sparks
can set anything on fire.
That's when you see the spotlight,
coming from the police car,
he pulls up behind you and hits the blue lights,
and then he gets out of his car.

He doesn't ask you about the weapons,
he doesn't want to know about that.
The only two words that escape his mind
are really simple: "FIX IT!"
and as he is walking away,
you wanna give him a piece of your mind.
(spoken: No! We're going to tow this thing all the way to Hunstville, see if we can catch the whole damn state on fire.)
but you bite your tongue and obey the code of Chivalry,
and keep all your anger inside.
