Noe College is a subgroup of the Barony of Lyondemere, in the Kingdom of Caid. It is mundanely the campus of California State University, Long Beach.

History:
Noe College was founded by Cormac Mor, Tuathal MacCrimmthain, and Caitilin inghean Eoin in the fall of 2002. The group began holding meetings, and following spring, the college participated in the first of its annual demos (and unofficial anniversary event) at CSULB's Kaleidoscope festival.

In fall of 2003, the college voted itself into existance at their first "official" meeting, which was attended by Their Excellencies of Lyondemere, Jamal Damien Marcus and Eowyn Amberdrake.

Naming the College:
The college first operated under the name "College of the Wylds," chosen at one of its first meetings in the fall of 2002. Shortly after the 2003 summer break began, the College of Arms returned "College of the Wylds." At the meeting of fall 2003, the group debated what new name to use. After many suggestions (including two from CSULB alumnus Allan Bluehood of Woods' End, who wished to use the same initials as the university by naming the group either "College of St. Ursula, the Little Bear" or "College of the Secret Underground League of Brethren"), the group decided on the new name "Lyceum Litoris Longi". a rough Latin translation of "College of the Long Beach." Unfortunately, this too was returned by Laurel during the 2004 summer break.

By this time, the members of the college were growing tired of the constant returns; having had three names returned in as many years, the college sought a name that would pass, regardless of its meaning. Many names were batted about, until finally the surname "Noe," a spelling variant of the Biblical patriarch Noah, was chosen both for its inherent ability to be documented, and as a nod to the more common practice of naming colleges after saints. However, the story soon became that, since the college always kept hearing "No" from the heralds, they took it as a suggestion, and "Noe" was what they chose.
