The Orms Vikings is a Viking style war band. Centered around a Norse Household warband core, with five to ten fighters. At wars we usually "hire" other unattached or otherwise uncommitted fighters to flesh out the unit. This is sometimes referred to as the USMC. "Uncle Sven's Misguided Children". These hired warriors need not be Norse or even of the same period. I am just looking for a few good men and women.

We are committed to unit type tactics. Our specialty is a strong and cohesive Shield Wall This does, however, involves some drill and practice. Which is mostly done at the end of Blatha An Oir's weekly Baronial fighter's practice. The goal being; "To form a unit that is useful and that can make a difference on the field."

Last year, tough we did not win the war, we were impressive enough to be contracted for this year by the Barony of Glym Mere. Part of our pay will be a new red tunic for each of the fighters.  *We are ready and willing to help new fighters and others make or rebuild their armor.*  Our training style is to teach some basics. Then go over the basics and teach new skills at each of the following practices.  My ultimate goal is to form a unit that is a "Combat Infantry Team." That being, a shield wall backed up by pole arms and archers.  If you are interested in this type of warfare, come out to the Blatha An Oir Baronial fight practice.
