I am a recently returning native of Nottinghill Coill, though I've never had the honor of playing there so early did I leave. I am a trained medievalist with a focus in palaeography and Gaelic history and literature, though my first calling was as an artist. Thus I am not your typical academic.

I consider personae to be more guidelines for dress and general deportment and stress the 'Creative' in SCA more than anything else. What else are we doing this for? Were I to define one for myself I would have to say 14th century Scotland/Ireland - Gaelic culture, basically. My kit including armor and camping gear, however, is in disrepair from long travel and little attention, so I will be spending the next couple years getting it back into shape.
