The Authorization Fight

Two days past 18,
his helmet's shined up and his armor's clean,
he's gonna authorize for the list today,
been trained 11 years and he knows the way.
The knight that's there calls out a squire,
to fight this kid with his hair on fire,
just to make sure that the kid's safe enough to fight.
What the squire doesn't know is that he's gonna be sore tonight.
So they call lay-on for the 1/2 speed round,
the kid's got good form and has his basics down,
it's plain to see that he's been trained real well.
So they bump it up a notch just to put this kid through hell.

(chorus)

Oh, and how he shined,
the squire wasn't ready for what the kid had in mind.
The kid was running, toe to toe with him,
and the squire was heard saying: "Will you look at this s$!t here."
Thought the fight would never end,
then the squire saw a hole that was starting to open,
but he realized all too late when the kid hit him,
the hole was just a feint.

So the squire falls dead out on the field,
and covers up his vital parts with his shield,
then the squire got up for another round,
and once again found himself face down on the ground.
The third time around the squire woke up,
hit the kid in the leg so the kid's looking up
at the squire from his knees,
the squire moves in for the kill.
Once again this kid shows the squire his indomitable will.

Now the fighting parts done and the paperwork is signed
and the squire's thinking that he has lost his mind.
He just got beat by a kid today that as far as he knows
six months been trained.
Well the squire doesn't know just what he did,
this adolescent's been trained to fight from a kid of just 7 years,
straight on through to this day.
He went Wolf, Ram, Bear, and then Dragon in Meridies.
